Today, risk management has become fundamental to most investors and asset managers. This is an outstanding opportunity for a bright, energetic Sales Director to join a dynamic and entrepreneurial team in a leading risk management solutions firm, targeting the buy-side community in North America. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this individual is a Senior Salesperson with over 5 years of market experience. The successful candidate will have direct responsibility for achieving targets for his/her assigned territory. This growth will involve new sales and revenues from developing and growing existing clients. The future Sales Director will also serve as a senior member of the team contributing to strategy discussions on a regular basis.
The successful candidate is likely to be a graduate who is confident, tenacious, self-motivated and knows how to work in a small team. The candidate should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the investment management business. Any exposure to alternative investments and/or risk would be a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Exceed recurring revenue targets/ developing new revenue opportunities
Pro-actively generate leads by leveraging relationships in investor and asset manager community
Create sales plans for each client/ account
Ensure Client Retention
Coordinate resources for pre and post sales activities
Follow a structured sales process through the CRM system
Provide information/ intelligence to all related departments within Riskdata
Act as a Riskdata spokesperson in Americas at conferences and other PR related events
Depending on the candidate's experience and achievements, this role could evolve into a business development role, including:
Definition and implementation of a marketing strategy
Recruitment, training and management of sales executives
The successful candidate should possess strong communication skills, ability to form solid and productive business relationships, confidence to be pro-active both internally and externally, and the ability to guide client discussions toward specific business objectives.
